Graduate Exhibition
The QUT creative industries graduate exhibition, Interchange, was held this week. I entered a work that I built together with Scott Macfarlane called Vicroscope. It was an interactive AR installation that created a swarm of microbes that crawled around on the hands of the visitors who played with it. It was a success, not crashing or glitching up at all, which proved my pessimism towards making something people have to play with completely wrong!
Have a look at the Interchange website to see the blurb on it for the moment – I’ll put some production info up on my blog and add it to my portfolio in the days ahead! Right now I need to recuperate and catch up on the sleep lost getting it ready for final showing. The rest of the graduates had some amazing work too.
Also, visit my project partner Scott Macfarlane, he did the majority of the construction of the physical object, coding and testing while I did the project branding, character design, and animation as well as cobbling together most of the code.
Expect a more coherent reflection on how the grad show went, along with some photos and video, very soon. So tired!
